Written in personal present tense - so they are a bit like incantations.

1. Every morning when I wake up I drink a glass of water and do an “Hour of Power” while walking at a brisk pace in the nearby park. Reason: I want to get an edge by starting my day with time for myself.

2. When I have something to contribute in a thread in the ODW forum, I participate by posting my thoughts, to encourage, inspire and inform others. Reason: Bill has requested this of all members in another thread.

3. I am free from the chains of the what-others-think-of-me mentality, as this is such a powerful form of slavery that is completely unnecessary. Reason: If I am unhappy by constantly worrying about what others think and I changed in order to make everyone happy, what good is that?

4. I am eating healthily and in moderate amounts. Combining this with briskly walking my “Hour of Power”, will enable me to lose weight (for starters, 8 kilograms ). Reason: This will boost my confidence and help me to be a healthier and fitter person, and plus I want more energy.

5. I spend a minimum of 3-4 hours learning Bill Stacy’s method of day trading options every day – by watching his online videos, charting videos he has recommended, reading his method notes and making my own set of notes to study from. Reason: I want Bill to know that I’m going to make the most of what I now have and make him proud, by doing my best, because I know he’s given me his best.

6. Every weekend on Sunday after breakfast, I do a personal SWOT analysis. Reason: The aim is to maximize my strengths, and limit my weaknesses, by taking the opportunities to take action and be careful of possible threats. Reason 2: It’s good to be aware of oneself.

7. I stay positive and focused by reading at least 30 minutes of positive mental attitude material everyday. I especially enjoy a certain online blog called ZenHabits by an American guy, Leo. Bill Stacy (motivational posts on the forum are terrific) and Tony Robbins (Get The Edge) are my top favourites too. Reason: A positive mental attitude is not instant. It takes effort to start one and needs nurturing as you go along.

8. I donate a minimum of 15% of my trading profits to charity. (Haven’t started live trading yet at this stage) Reason: To pay it forward.

9. I will meet Bill Stacy one day. Reason: I can personally thank him for what he’s done for me. Planning a nice surprise for him. (Hold me to my promise, all those who read this, especially you, Bill!) :2tu:

I will post here from time to time, maybe even daily if that’s ok to update you all on my progress. That way if I succeed, you’ll be inspired. And if I have a bad day, I can read up my previous successes, and know that I can achieve any goal I set for myself.

Cool, let's see it.

The only reward I need from you is your success. If you love every day like I do you will be well over 80% of your way. The rest is just to keep the shop owners happy (they always want money for one thing or another).

Woke up really early this morning - rewatching some videos and reading through Bill's day trading method notes. Gotta get things into my brain right!! Ooh yeah!! :2tu:

Then I got so carried away absorbing all this information, so I'm postponing my morning 'Hour of Power' until this evening. I'll let everyone know whether doing it in the morning or evening is better - for myself anyway, everyone is different.

Browsing different threads in the forum. Saw the thread on 'The Magic of Thinking Big', and decided it would be a crucial element to my success.

Ordered it from an online bookstore I found using www.booko.com.au - brand new for less than $15! Free shipping too! Trying to minimise on my unnecessary spending, so money at the moment is a bit tight - but judging from everyone's comments on the book, I know it will be worth a lot more than its price tag. Looking forward to it arriving in the mail.

Did my SWOT analysis, it took a bit long, but I definitely see the value in doing one at least one every weekend for newbies. Lots of things in my life that can be improved to help me become more happy, healthy, and successful. :beach:

Watching the Traders Whiteboard Series at the moment, really learning heaps!! Love how the simplicity of trading shines through in those videos.

Ever since joining this online ODW community, I am a lot more happier and certain with my life. :odwrocks::clapping:

Fell asleep listening to an audio from Get The Edge last night.

I'm really enjoying Robbo's entertaining style of sharing knowledge.

I'd love to hear any of your feedback, advice, criticisms and encouragements. We are all on the same journey. :3gears:

It's really hot here in Sydney at the moment (37 degrees)! :beach: So I'm really glad I did my exercise for today in the morning!!

Might stick to that from now on, I didn't get around to doing that evening Hour of Power I mentioned in my previous update. Was on the computer doing some charting. Today I listened to an audio from Personal Power, and I got so much energy from doing the 4-4 breathing pattern I learned from the Hour of Power, I actually felt that if I didn't pick up the pace and start running, I'd be bored!! So I alternated between all-out running, walking and stretching. Checking my watch, I went home after about 45 minutes of this, I went back home and felt so accomplished!

I especially enjoyed Robbo's story about the dyslexic boy who loved surfing that he worked with, he really knows his stuff! His enthusiasm for personal development and helping others is amazing! :applause:

Still awaiting 'The Magic of Thinking Big' to arrive.

I've learned more about myself in this last week than I have for the past year.

:odwrocks::fr::dtr:

Bring it on!!!

That's the magic of TR. He is the reason why ODW exists and I'm able to affect your lives (hopefully for the better). But well done. All this is helping tremendously and having Tony explain why he thinks we all do what we do is priceless. Many things are so much clearer.

My friends in my day to day life don't know that I'm embarking on becoming an options day trader...

I want to be an options day trader.

Some good news: I have lost 2kg ever since I started my daily Hour of Power!!

Once you master the skill of making your own money you can go to Uni for fun.

You are wise not to mention any of this to your friends. They will burn your house of dreams to the ground if they even get a whiff of it.

The reason for this (as I have stated many times) is that they think they are better than you. If you learn how to and make thousands of dollars a week then they should be able to as well and because they aren't, their brains blow up. Keep this to yourself, study hard and become a second nature trader. Then when you have paid off your house and have a few hundred thousand in the bank you can tell them if you want grief then. If not, never tell them anything. Most people will grow 5 green heads when they find out you're making more money than any wage earner in the country.

Wise advice Bill, its sad that people react that way but its true. I dont need their bad vibes in my life so as far as I am concerned, its none of their business. In saying that, those that are true friends, will believe in you and support you, those are the friends worth sharing with.

If one of your goals is to share this with those around you, be proof of it's success first then wait till they beg you to find out more. Only answer questions, never push the issue or say anything other than "it's just the way I make my money. Just like you to a job, I go to my brain"

If they even once say anything sarcastic (and mean it) or give you any bad feelings (like you should have never brought it up) drop it and never mention it again until they are begging you for the information.

It's just not worth the hassle dragging people into this. It just isn't. Everyone has to run to the start line then race yourself for the prize. It's been said by wiser people than me but...it's hard to run a sprint when you're dragging someone behind you who really doesn't want to go.

You need all your focus and energy on the daily task at hand which it appears you're doing so "onya...and carry on" Starting is the best part....and then it just gets better every day as you realise that all of a sudden you are free to do with your life as you please. Focus on that.

Thank you Tina and Bill, for the encouragement. I've said it before but I'll say it again...

Another quick update: yesterday I received that special book, 'The Magic of Thinking Big'!! Tore off the packaging on my way home from the post office and have been reading it since...I must say it's a real gem of a book. :1smile:

This morning did my exercise, once again, I'm very glad I did it then and not now...this weather is heating up!

I'm going to go back to watching the market in webIRESS. Hoping to get some more paper trades in before the end of this week.
